Social for veterans at Dover Place

The Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonel Haslet Chapter in Dover held a social and pizza party celebrating Memorial Day for veterans living in Dover Place. The Chapter has been visiting senior living communities and veteran homes since 2008, providing special meals, desserts and gifts to veterans as a way to express their gratitude for those who served our country and protected our freedom. Formed in 1897, the Chapter supports projects that promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism. DAR members can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution.
