Children's Museum of Richmond locations to offer free admission to military, vets and first responders

Free Lance-Star - 6/7/2018

June 07--The Children's Museum of Richmond will offer free admission to active military, veterans, law enforcement, fire fighters, emergency medical technicians and their immediate family members each Monday from Memorial Day through Labor Day thanks to a donation from Walmart.

Called Summer Service Days, the free admission will be offered at all four of the museum's locations, including the one in Eagle Village Shopping Center in Fredericksburg. Qualifying guests must show their badge or ID upon check-in to receive free admission. In addition, badge/ID holders must be present for their immediate family members to receive free admission.

"The Children's Museum of Richmond's Summer Service Days aligns perfectly with Walmart's regional/national commitment to veterans and their families," said Keith Morris, senior director, Community Affairs East Region for Walmart, in a news release.

Last year, the Children's Museum of Richmond welcomed over 15,000 military individuals and their families at a discounted rate.
